Start: ASAP Where: Riverwood, NSW Type: Part time / casual Pay: Award wage

JOB DESCRIPTION

Be the Reason Our Guests Feel at Home.

First impressions matter. When a guest walks into a spotless room with fresh linen and a sparkling bathroom, they immediately feel valued and welcomed. At the newly renovated Riverwood Hotel, we are looking for two dedicated Housekeeping Attendants to join our team and help us maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation in our guest accommodation.

As part of the IRIS group, you'll be focused exclusively on ensuring our hotel rooms and associated spaces provide a comfortable, inviting experience for every guest who stays with us. We are looking for meticulous individuals who take genuine pride in their work and want to be part of a supportive, growing hospitality family.

About the Role

We are seeking detail-oriented and reliable housekeepers to help us look after our beautiful, newly renovated hotel accommodation. This is a hands-on, casual role focused entirely on our guest rooms and accommodation areas. Your hard work will be immediately visible and deeply appreciated by both our team and our guests.

Key Responsibilities

Your day-to-day duties will be focused on delivering excellence in our guest accommodation:

  • Guest Room Preparation:

    • Changing bed linen with fresh supplies provided by our linen service.

    • Replacing used towels with clean stock.

    • Dusting furniture and vacuuming carpets.

    • Restocking beverages and items in the mini-bar.

    • Ensuring all assigned rooms are clean, tidy, and guest-ready by the end of your shift.

  • Bathroom Cleaning:

    • Scrubbing bathrooms and toilets to a sparkling, hygienic finish.

    • Replacing used amenities and ensuring all surfaces are spotless.

  • Maintenance Reporting:

    • Reporting any technical issues, maintenance needs, or damages within guest rooms promptly to management.

What You'll Bring to the Team

We believe in recognising potential. You don't need to be an expert, you just need to have the right attitude and a strong work ethic.

  • An Eye for Detail: You notice the little things, from a smudge on a mirror to a pillow that isn't perfectly placed.

  • Pride in Your Work: You want to leave every room looking its absolute best for the next guest.

  • Physical Stamina: You are comfortable with the physical demands of the role, including standing for long periods, bending, and lifting.

  • Reliability and Trustworthiness: You are punctual, take your responsibilities seriously, and can be trusted to work independently in guest rooms.

  • A Positive Attitude: You approach your tasks with energy and a smile, contributing to a positive team culture.

  • Team Player: You are happy to collaborate with the accommodation team to ensure all rooms are completed efficiently.

Why Join the Riverwood Hotel & IRIS Group?

This is more than just a cleaning job; it's an opportunity to be a vital part of a thriving venue.

  • Work in a Stunning Venue: Take pride in working in a beautifully renovated, modern accommodation space.

  • Focused Role: Your work is concentrated solely on guest rooms, allowing you to perfect your craft without the distractions of other venue areas.

  • Stability and Opportunity: Join the IRIS group, a rapidly expanding portfolio of over 57 venues, vineyards, and more. We're not just a single pub; we're a growing family with opportunities for the right people.

  • Be Valued: We know that "real people and places are the foundation of our success." Your contribution will be seen and appreciated.

  • Supportive Team: Work alongside a friendly, dedicated team in a venue that caters to everyone, from short-term visitors to longer-stay guests.

Ready to help us shine?

If you are a reliable, detail-oriented individual who takes pride in creating a clean and welcoming environment for hotel guests, we would love to hear from you.
